The chickpea crust provided a unique flavour and texture compared to a traditional crust. The spicy Nduja added a kick to our mushroom cream sauce. We topped our pizza with arugula for a splash of colour and freshness, finocchiona for its distinct flavour, chunks of mozzarella for the melted cheesy goodness without overpowering the other ingredients, and marinated artichoke hearts for acidity to balance out the dish. Nduja and marinated artichoke hearts are completely new to us so we weren't sure how this was going to turn out. Luckily, all of the ingredients came together very well and the pizza had a wonderful balance of flavours and textures.
